1. Data controller
UAB Dimetris (company code 306146540, Lithuania) is the data controller for personal data processed through courtbid.eu. Contact for any privacy inquiry: support@courtbid.eu.
2. What we collect
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email, password (hashed), full name (optional) | Account signup | Create and secure your account |
| Subscription plan and payment status | Checkout via Stripe | Grant access to the plan you paid for. We never see or store your card number — Stripe processes payment directly. |
| Saved searches, alert preferences, Telegram chat ID (if enabled) | While using the Service | Deliver the alerts and filters you configure |
| Basic usage analytics (pages visited, no cross-site tracking) | Site visits | Understand which parts of the Service are used, via a self-hosted, privacy-respecting analytics tool |
| Session identifier | While logged in | Keep you logged in between requests |
3. Auction listing data is not your personal data
The property auction listings displayed in the Service (addresses, prices, case numbers) are sourced from public court, bailiff, and enforcement registers. This is public-record data about third-party legal proceedings, not personal data we collect about you.
4. Legal basis for processing
- Contract — account data and payment status, to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest — basic aggregated analytics to improve the Service, and fraud/abuse prevention.
- Consent — optional Telegram or marketing email notifications, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share the minimum necessary data with:
- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe's own privacy policy applies to payment data it holds).
- Telegram — only if you explicitly enable Telegram alerts, to deliver notification messages.
- Our email delivery provider — to send transactional emails (signup confirmation, alerts, receipts).
- Hosting infrastructure providers who store data on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
6. Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain billing records for longer (e.g. tax law).
7. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email support@courtbid.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.
8. Cookies
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in, and a self-hosted, cookie-light analytics tool to understand aggregate usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
9. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or an in-app notice.
